Sweet Pastel acrylics are solid/opaque (meaning not see -through).
They have a matte top/front and a gloss back/bottom. Our default side is the Matte Side.
Some pieces may arrive with blue writing across them - this is not on the acrylic but is on a plastic film that you will need to remove to reveal the Matte side
Material Thickness: 3mm (thickness varies up to 1mm either way between batches)
Advantages:
Acrylic is opaque making it perfect for hiding glue on findings like post pads and brooch pins.
Cuts well and leaves a clean, smooth edge line that shows the core colour on the side edges.
Smooth Surface all over.
Small to large shapes can be used either matte or gloss
Disadvantages:
Corners and curves can show grey markings
All our mini shapes (with etched glue guide) will come as matte finish only.
Comes with a protective tape coating that will need to be peeled off.
Thickness can vary by to 1mm as a result of the manufacturing process which can make layered pieces inconsistent in height.
Is difficult to capture colour correctly; allow for slight variations from monitor to actual item when received.
Does require extra handling and specific laser settings which do incur extra charges.
